Singers

JOHN BISCHOFF, bass, majored in English at Princeton University, taught in China and worked as a journalist for Minnesota Public Radio for most of the 1990s before throwing caution to the wind and pursuing a singing career. He received a master’s degree in Voice from the Manhattan School of Music, and has performed as a young artist with the Santa Fe, Sarasota, Des Moines and Dayton operas. He has also sung with the Dale Warland Singers and the New York vocal jazz quartet Vox Bop. John enjoys many things in moderation... except dessert. He is happy to be in his third season with Chanticleer and happier still to be in his fifth season with his wife, Laurel.
