DYLAN HOSTETTER, soprano, is in his fifth season with Chanticleer. Originally from Indianapolis, he began singing as a boy in the Anglican tradition, performing early and often as a soloist, singing with the New York Philharmonic under the direction of Leonard Slatkin and the title role in an Indiana University Opera production of Menotti's Amahl and the Night Visitors. He went on to study vocal performance in the Early Music Institute at Indiana with Paul Elliott and Paul Hillier. He has sung with the Pro Arte singers, toured in Holland with Theatre of Voices, and was a founding member of the Concord Ensemble. Mr. Hostetter loves to write music, play piano, and is an avid cyclist and basketball addict, staying true to his Hoosier upbringing. He is thankful for the blessing of song, and for the amazing opportunity to sing with Chanticleer.
