From New York we went to Chicago for our two concerts at beautiful 4th Presbyterian presented by the Chicago Symphony - a long and wonderful tradition; we love the chance to spend a few days in Chicago even in the considerable cold. AND, because it's the midwest where many of us originate, or have gone to school, there were lots of friends and family in attendance. Perhaps because we were so looking forward to getting home, weather in San Francisco kept us delayed in Chicago for hours. We arrived safely to stormy San Francisco currently enjoying the kind of weather we're supposed to have at Christmas; pouring down rain. Fortunately the rain let up for our performance at the Oakland Cathedral. A good thing because the only place for the audience to wait is outside, and it's never a good thing when they have to wait in the rain. This was our first of two weeks of concerts in California, a series which will end in San Francisco on December 23.
