Our Bolivian/Mexican/Spanish program had its north of the Equator debut tonight at the Mission Santa Clara, located on the campus of the University of Santa Clara.  We, and our continuo complement - Lisa Nauful, bassoon, and Craig Russell guitar - and the positif organ carried from San Francisco, various percussion instruments ( including a wonderful drum sent by our longtime friend Beth Smaligo just at the right time,) the flute Adam bought in Bolivia, AND LAB XV who entertained the arriving audience with songs from the Mexican baroque repertoire.  People who love this music and appreciate us singing it came from far and wide.  It was a good evening, though it could have been a bit warmer, especially for LAB which sang outside.  Tomorrow night, the Mission Dolores in San Francisco.
