Finishing the 16-17 Bay Area season, touring around our beautiful part of California. Sacramento on Sunday afternoon was about l00 degrees, contrasting sharply with our June gloom in San Francisco. The fans ( including about 60 high school students) came to St. Francis suitably attired, and enjoyed Washing of the Water. These performances, particularly Sacramento, have been dedicated to the memory of Peter H. Shattuck who, with his wife Elizabeth have been fervent supporters since the beginning. Elizabeth spoke at Louis' funeral. This program continues to be a big hit with audiences because of its alternation of musical styles and its thematic content. Tonight we returned to St. Stephen's in Belvedere, an intimate space in one of the loveliest spots in the Bay Area. San Jose on Friday, and then we can say that our concert season is finished.
