At the beautiful and intimate Carmel Mission, we performed our penultimate Christmas concerts for two sold out houses full of faithful fans.  As the 6pm audience arrived they were universally taken with the beautiful waning moon over the mission and many photos were taken of this moon, which mysteriously turned full when photographed.    Our ticket and CD sales and greeting operations have to happen outdoors in the bracing ( what we in California call cold - maybe high 40's) night air which made the many of us who come from colder climates feel very Christmas-y.  We're now daring to imagine all of our flights on Christmas Eve to our various holiday destinations.  Brian and his wife Amelie will be going to Chicago to visit his family.   After raising the roof every night in Rosephanye Powell's "He is the coming king,"  to end the Christmas program, he will enjoy the time off.
