We were having an ordinary last day of travel, from Dublin to Cork by van, with the customary rest stop nutrition. We arrived in Cork where it is neither raining nor flooding, for the moment. Mary Malone ( the organizer of our visit here) met us at the curb. Descending from the van in a bit of a daze, we were alerted that the Lord Mayor of Cork Catherine Clancy and the President of Ireland, Michael D. Higgins were just inside the hotel. President Higgins, a supporter of the arts, and the Lord Mayor paused for a photo with us, and bid us welcome to Cork - rendering this not such an ordinary day. We will do a workshop with 130 singers who have come from all over Ireland in a few hours.
