Today up in beautiful sunny Sonoma we welcomed 65 singers to our bi-annual "Chanti-Camp"  which we put on in collaboration with Sonoma Bach and its director Bob Worth.  65 singers have come from 15 states and Mexico.  32 of them are returning - and some of those have been to every one.  This is the 5th.  Two current members of Chanticleer came to Chanticleer in Sonoma before they were in the ensemble.  And an alum of this year's LAB Choir is also participating.

We sang.  Then we all read through our tutti numbers:

Pater Noster by Jacob Handl

Song of the Cherubim by Penderecki

a l6 part arrangement by Gottwald  of  Traume from Wagner's Tristan und Isolde

Ezekiel Saw de Wheel

There will be Biebl's Ave Maria later.

After that glimpse of the four days we are about to spend together, we had our group photo taken.  Individual hearings and voice matchings to make sure about the small ensemble assignments will happen before the end of the day and at 8pm small ensemble rehearsals will begin!
