On the way from les Bauges to Brittany is Paris, so we thought we should stop in and sing to whoever might be around at this time of year. The American Cathedral, on the extremely chic Avenue Georges V, graciously consented to have as sing there; it's really a wonderful sounding space. It's really great to meet Parisians who have seen us in some of our various appearances around France. Many of the audience members were Americans in Paris - lots from the choir of the Cathedral, and that was great too. A perhaps little known and rather unusual relic in the Cathedral, which was consecrated in 1886, is a highly decorated Steinway upon which Cole Porter wrote many of his songs. Thanks to all the Cathedral people for being so welcoming. A day off in Paris tomorrow - we're not complaining- before we had to Brittany on Friday.
