For the last 6 weeks, LAB 4 has been plugging away at new repertoire for a late-May/early-June performance set. There will be one concert free and open to the public on Monday, May 30 (Memorial Day) at St. Mark's Lutheran Church in San Francisco. We hope to see you there!
Here's a preview of what our new T-Shirts look like. The back of the shirt uses some music notation to abstractly spell out "LAB Choir 4." And if you're musically literate, you might enjoy the inside joke about being a fermata (I'm a fermata, hold me)
LAB 3 had a little reunion this weekend to sing "Cells Planets" at a Debutante Ball for one of its members. Wow, LAB alumni concerts already!
We're also gearing up for a special summer session of LAB - an intensive day camp open to more than just 20 singers. For 7 days (August 6, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, and 13), we'll be sharpening our skills at sight-singing, music theory, music history, IPA, vocal technique, conducting, stage deportment, and more! If you or anyone you know (must be aged 14-20) is interested in joining the fun, contact Ben Johns (firstname.lastname@example.org). The application deadline is May 15.
