Jace writes  from Sioux Falls, South Dakota, on his way to a masterclass in the Cathedral, about yesterday's touring season debut in Sioux City, IA:

Sioux City was a success and a great way to kick off the touring season.  In the afternoon we worked with the Morningside College Choir, a group of about 35 who sang beautifully.  We workshopped two spiritual arrangements and helped the ensemble with communicating their enthusiasm and passion to an audience.  The masterclass took place in the newly renovated Eppley Auditorium, which gave us a preview of the wonderful hall in which we would perform a couple of hours later.  The acoustic was clear, with just the right amount of ring. The audience seemed to enjoy the program quite a bit, with favorites being "Wait Fantasy" by Steve Hackman, both of Joe Jenning's arrangements ("So in Love" and "Keep your hand on the plow") and the closing number "I feel better."  Lots of whistles and hoots at the end of the show - we were happy to bring smiles to their faces.
