After a week of very hard work, Skills/LAB III will show off its achievements in a free concert tonight at St. Mark's Lutheran. We had the pleasure of working with the small ensembles; we hope we helped. Ben Johns, our Education Director observes: " Things have gone well this week. Everyone is exhausted, but it's a happy exhaustion. Getting to work with the Chanticleer ensemble yesterday greatly enhanced the small groups...once the Skills/LAB singers got over the anxiety of performing for Chanticleer. The LAB singers are always great personalities, but this year seems to be particularly sweet. Everyone pitches in to help clean up at the end of the day. And the focus during rehearsals is the best it's ever been. I'm excited for tomorrow evening's concert for their sakes. Lots of great musical moments to share!"

That's a great report. It's a program we're proud of and we salute all the participants. Here are some photos by Galyn Lum from the first day, when everybody was super-fresh. We're sure tonight will be an energetic and enjoyable concert.
