Everybody in Ashland, including our very discerning friends Marilyn and Bill, loved our concert there. We hope we'll get to come back - it look a while to get there. While the music world in general is anguishing about the future of live performance, it is SO good to look out and see packed houses. We live by and for you all, our live audiences. No way could we or would we retire to a recording studio like Glenn Gould and never come out. This is the live performing arts, and where in it together!! Kirby Shaw - who arranged It's All Right With Me and Summertime for couldn't come to the concert but came to say hello afterwards.
Then yesterday we came on to Spokane where it is hot and sunny and visited the Spokane Gardens at Manito Park. Looking forward to seeing the beautifully renovated Martin Woldson Theater at the Fox in a few hours.
