A Hollywood Moment for Chanticleer
San Francisco's Chanticleer and...Jack Black? The GRAMMY-winning 12-man vocal ensemble is heard in Nacho Libre, the new Jack Black feature, directed by Napoleon Dynamite's Jared Hess. Tracks from the group's Mexican Baroque and Matins for the Virgin of Guadalupe CDs play briefly during the film, which is about a hapless Mexican cook working in a monastery who turns pro wrestler to raise money for orphans.
Nacho Libre was ranked the number two movie in the U.S.A. in its debut weekend, June 16-18.
