Christmas in fabulous Jordan Hall

Saturday, December 1st, 2012
It’s always a pleasure to sing in the warm and beautiful Jordan Hall at the New England Conservatory at the invitation of the Boston Celebrity Series with whom we have a long history. Adam likes singing at the N.E.C. particularly, because, as he says, they didn’t let him in, and he had to go to Yale instead…… As always a wonderful and familiar audience, including our friends Taylor and Willa Bodman – blog readers may remember that we appeared at a swell party they gave at the Gardner Museum last spring. Michael Bresnahan’s family turned out in force, including his parents and grandmother.

What a magnificent performance, what a gift to your enthralled audience … an extraordinarily challenging program, sung with perfection, seemingly effortless, but we know better … brilliant all around, but the Poulenc, Arvo Part, Gretchaninoff, were particularly sublime … oh, how can I leave off “A Nyew werk”? May all your upcoming performances be so divine.
