We sang a sold-out concert last night at the Camelback Bible Church in Paradise Valley, just outside of Phoenix. We were told it was one of the best acoustics in the Phoenix area, and all the reports were absolutely correct. A clear, nice ring in the church made us wish we could record there. The audience was incredibly enthusiastic, with many people giving a standing ovation at the end of the first half. The excitement built through the second half, with raucous hollers after Vince Peterson's arrangement of "Temptation." We were the first vocal group presented by the Phoenix Chamber Music Society in recent memory, and we'd love to come back. Today we worked with several singers in the Master Choir of the Phoenix Boy's Choir. We had a nice time with them and continuing the tradition of male ensemble singing. Last night's concert was dedicated to the memory and legacy of Harvey Smith, the long-time director of the Boy's Choir. We wish the organization many years of continued success.
