With whatever good karma was attending us, we actually made it from LaCrosse to St. Louis only 15 minutes late.  That was a big relief to lots of people - our presenters in St. Louis, us, and our staff following our progress and biting their nails back in San Francisco where it's in the 60's and sunny.

Today, Saturday, as we drive from St. Louis to Kansas City for our performance tonight at the Community of Christ Temple in Independence, MO,  Ben Johns is rehearsing the 22- member  LAB Choir 3

who have come from all around the Bay Area on this very beautiful day and of whom half are coming back from the LAB CHOIR 2( this is great!)  This morning they were working on "Cells Planets" -becoming the second choral group ( after us) to sing this tune written by Erica Lloyd and arranged by Vince Peterson.  ( See the music video we made on our YOUTUBE Channel...)  After that - Duke Ellington's "Creole Love Call"  to round out the morning before going onto some older music in the afternoon.  Lucky LAB Choir3!  This morning they were visited by the program's Artistic Advisor, Vance George - the Music Director Emeritus of the San Francisco Symphony Chorus who joined in the Cells Planets rehearsal.

with many especial observations for the altos and basses

This afternoon they'll have a visit from Ragnar Bohlin, Vance's successor as Music Director of the SF Symphony Chorus.

Before  their next rehearsal on Feb l9, we've invited them to hear the recital portion of our annual auditions.  Then they'll work all of President's Day weekend, and start performing in schools soon thereafter.   We're most excited that they will join us at our annual Gala March l8 at the Bentley Reserve.
