We rolled into our traditional first cathedral-like acoustic of our Christmas tour at Stanford's MemChu ( Memorial Church) where Stanford Live has been home to our concert for many years. Michael Bresnahan, on his first Christmas tour was absolutely wowed by the beauty and the acoustic, and the rest of us are not jaded about it either. The loyal Stanford audience seemed very healthy this year, so we have high hopes for the quality of the broadcast tape for American Public Media - hopefully to be on a station near you next week. The many Joe Jennings carol arrangements in the second part continue to generate lots of enthusiasm, especially "O Come all ye faithful." Tomorrow we attempt the trip which sometimes seems impossible -flying from San Francisco to Los Angeles for tomorrow evening's Walt Disney Hall concert. Wish us luck!

Oh yes, here's Georgia Rowe's review from the Mercury News of last night's concert in Berkeley.
