It's not quite ready yet, but we like to stand up and try it at about this point before opening - which is next week September 20, at the San Francisco Conservatory.

100 or so of our closest supporters came to St. Mark's Lutheran to hear us. They're a very friendly and indulgent audience and we can stop and start over if necessary in their company.

(That happened once, not telling you in which piece.)

This program will unveil Stacy Garrop's "Give me Hunger" on poetry by Carl Sandburg which we commissioned for this program, and Vince Peterson's arrangement of Joni Mitchell's "Both Sides Now" also specially commissioned by us.  Other female voices on the program include Hildegard von Bingen and Fanny Mendelssohn.  Plenty of interesting texts on the subject of the eternally interesting relationship between the sexes.  Another new piece is Steven Hackman's "Wait"  Fantasy which also appears on our new CD "Someone New" to be released shortly.

Thanks to St. Mark's Lutheran for their hospitality.
