Chanticleer and high school students explore their feelings about the joy of singing

In 1986, Chanticleer began a formal education program, Singing in the Schools. Today, Chanticleer’s 12 singers, Artistic Advisor Joseph Jennings, Music Director Matthew Oltman, Education Director Ben Johns and special guest artists bring the beauty, joy, and discipline of choral music to students of grades 5-12, as well as adults of college age and beyond, across the country.

Chanticleer is busy year-round working with choral singers across the country in its Youth Choral Festivals™, Singing in the Schools clinics, workshops with university choral singers and its summer workshop for adults, Chanticleer in Sonoma. A new DVD offers a glimpse into Chanticleer’s commitment to education and young people.
